Andrea M. Hodge

Andrea Hodge holds the Arthur B. Freeman Professorship at the University of Southern California Viterbi School of Engineering, where she has a joint appointment in both the Mork Family Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science and the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering. A faculty member at USC since 2007, Professor Hodge leads the Hodge Materials Research Group and is recognized for her expertise in nanomechanics. Her research focuses on the mechanical behavior of engineered materials at the nano- and micro-scale. In recognition of her groundbreaking work, she has received numerous prestigious honors, including the Young Leader Award from The Minerals, Metals & Materials Society; the Excellence in Publication Award from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory; the Young Faculty Award from the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA); a Young Investigator Program Award from the Office of Naval Research; the National Science Foundation (NSF) BRIDGE Award; and the NSF CAREER Award. She can be reached by email at ahodge@usc.edu.
