Andrew Westover

Andrew S. Westover is a staff scientist at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) with a focus on solid-state batteries. Andrew obtained his PhD degree from Vanderbilt University in 2016 in interdisciplinary materials science and engineering. After graduating, he worked at ORNL as a postdoctoral research associate before transitioning to a permanent staff position. At ORNL, Andrew leads research programs focused on Li metal for solid-state batteries, the mechanics of solid-state batteries, and ionic glass electrolytes.
