Bart Weber

Bart Weber leads the Contact Dynamics group at the Advanced Research Center for Nanolithography and is a tenure track assistant professor at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands. His research covers the interplay between water and friction on granular materials, the slipperiness of ice, and visualizing rough surface contact mechanics and friction using fluorescent probe molecules. Currently, he works on how wear and adhesion influence the friction behavior of stiff materials in the context of precision positioning. He can be reached by email at b.weber@arcnl.nl.
