Jae-Hwang Lee

Dr.Lee is an assistant professor of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering at UMass Amherst since September 2014. He was a research scientist in Materials Science and Nano Engineering at Rice University and a postdoctoral associate in Materials Science and Engineering at MIT. His Ph.D. was from Iowa State University in Condensed Matter Physics regarding metallic 3D photonic crystals and their thermal radiative characteristics. His current research interest is focused on plasmonic energy materials and high-rate micro-dynamics using laser induced micro-projectiles.
