Miriam Deutsch

Dr. Miriam Deutsch is a Section Head within the Directorate for Mathematical and Physical Sciences (MPS) at the U.S. National Science Foundation. She leads a Materials Research Section that supports a diverse portfolio of programs advancing the fundamental understanding of materials, their properties, and their potential applications. These programs span Biomaterials, Ceramics, Condensed Matter Physics, Electronic and Photonic Materials, Metals and Metallic Nanostructures, Polymers, and Solid State and Materials Chemistry. Dr. Deutsch earned her Ph.D. in 1997 and has served at NSF since 2016.
