Saaketh Desai

Saaketh Desai is a staff scientist at the Center for Integrated Nanotechnologies at Sandia National Laboratories. He received his PhD degree in Materials Engineering from Purdue University in 2020, and his undergraduate degree in Metallurgical and Materials Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee, India, in 2015. Saaketh's research focuses on combining machine learning methods with atomistic and mesoscale computational materials science methods to discover and design materials such as thin films, carbon fibers, and shape-memory alloys. He actively engages in machine learning outreach via workshops and tutorials at conferences, or at nanoHUB.org.
