Sapna Sarupria

Sapna Sarupria is an associate professor in the Department of Chemistry at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. The Sarupria Group develops state-of-the-art rare event sampling methods, pushing the frontiers of timescales accessible to molecular simulations. The approaches are used to study complex phenomena such as peptide aggregation with applications in drug delivery, heterogeneous ice nucleation with relevance to atmospheric chemistry, and gas hydrate nucleation and growth for energy and carbon sequestration. Dr. Sarupria is also an active advocate of equity and inclusion in STEM.
