Scott Litzelman

Dr. Scott Litzelman is the Program Lead at Stripe Climate and Frontier, where he identifies promising carbon dioxide removal (CDR) companies and negotiates purchase agreements. In that role, he helps define Frontier’s overall purchasing strategy, creates internal purchasing perspectives for pathways such as direct air capture (DAC) and biomass carbon removal and storage (BiCRS), and leads diligence on individual companies. Prior to his current role, Dr. Litzelman was a Program Director at ARPA-E where he started programs on Flexible Carbon Capture and Storage (FLECCS) and DAC, and managed the DAYS long-duration energy storage program. Before ARPA-E, he served as a Congressional Fellow in the office of Senator Ron Wyden and was a technology consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton. He holds a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from MIT and a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering from NC State.
