Scott McCormack

Scott J. McCormack is an assistant professor of materials science and engineering at the University of California, Davis. He received a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Wollongong, Australia and a PhD degree in materials science and engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research focuses on the interplay of crystallography and phase equilibria of materials in extreme environments, with an emphasis on high temperatures (above 3000 ˚C) for applications in hypersonic platforms, nuclear fission and fusion and space exploration.
