Dr. Stephanie Willerth is a professor and Canada Research Chair in biomedical engineering at the University of Victoria. Her research group has developed many types of biomaterial scaffolds for promoting the differentiation of induced pluripotent stem cells into neural cell types for tissue engineering applications. She also founded the awarding-winning start-up Axolotl Biosciences. She is a fellow of the Canadian Society of Senior Engineers and a member of the Royal Society of Canada’s College of New Scholars.
