Dr. Steven C. Moss received the BS degree (physics and math) from Arkansas A&M College in 1970, the MS degree (physics) from Purdue University in 1972, and the PhD (physics) from North Texas State University in 1981. He participated in post-doctoral work as a NRC-NRL Postdoctoral associate at the US Naval Research Laboratory and at North Texas State University. He recently retired after working for more than 30 years at The Aerospace Corporation in Los Angeles as a scientist and a manager. His expertise is in ultrafast optical phenomena, the optical properties of semiconductor materials and devices, the effects of space radiation on materials and devices, and the reliability of microelectronic and optoelectronic materials and devices. Dr. Moss is active in volunteer work for the IEEE, the MRS, and the Single Event Effect Symposium/MAPLD.
