Stig Helveg

Stig Helveg is the Director of the Danish National Research Foundation’s Center for Visualizing Catalytic Processes (VISION) and a professor at the Technical University of Denmark. His research has contributed to the development and application of atomic-resolution transmission electron microscopy in catalysis science and pioneered in situ and operando electron microscopy of catalysts under relevant reaction conditions and at the atomic-level. His research has provided new insights into dynamic processes and functions in catalysis at the atomic-scale and was awarded Materials Research Society’s Innovation in Materials Characterization Award in 2019.
