Sung Hoon Kang is an associate professor in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, and an assistant research professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the Johns Hopkins University. He received his PhD degree from Harvard University, MS degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and BS degree from Seoul National University. His research focuses on investigating bioinspired solutions to address the current challenges in engineering materials with applications, including safety, health care, sensing, and energy.
