Zhiqun Lin is a distinguished scholar in the Department of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at the National University of Singapore (NUS), where he holds the title of Provost's Chair. He earned his PhD in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 2002, following an MS in Macromolecular Science from Fudan University in 1998 and a BS in Materials Chemistry from Xiamen University in 1995.
His research focuses on perovskite-based materials and devices, solar energy conversion, electrocatalysis and photocatalysis, solid-state batteries, self-assembly, and the synthesis of polymers and nanocrystals. His contributions to these fields have earned him significant recognition, including his appointment as Co-Editor-in-Chief of Nano Energy, effective January 1, 2025. In 2023, he was selected as a Fellow of the Materials Research Society (MRS), highlighting his impact on materials research. Most recently, he was recognized in the Highly Cited Researchers™ 2024 List by Clarivate, reflecting his substantial influence in chemical engineering research.
