Co-Presented with ECS, the Electrochemical Society
Date: October 24, 2018
Time: 12:00PM - 01:30PM
You must be registered to participate! This webinar was co-presented with ECS, the Electrochemical Society.
Interest in solid-state batteries has never been greater than at present, stimulated by the desire to pursue energy densities beyond those of lithium-ion batteries as well as long cycle lives and safety. Materials and interfaces play a critical role for their success and commercialization. The use of solid electrolytes to enable stable lithium-metal electrodes is very promising and the discovery of new solid electrolyte materials provides the needed platforms to enable technology development.
The October issue of MRS Bulletin focuses on recent developments in solid ion-conductors and the various surface and interfacial challenges needed to be overcome for enabling solid-state batteries. The talks in this webinar will build upon the information presented in the MRS Bulletin issue, and a live question-and-answer session with the speakers will follow each talk.
