Ferroelectric Thin Films

Date: September 14, 2023

Time: 07:00PM - 09:00PM

You must be registered to participate!

Ferroelectrics are attractive materials with potential applications that include memory devices, sensors and actuators, and energy harvesters. In addition to the well-established perovskite-structure oxide ferroelectrics, hafnia-based ferroelectrics have recently been discovered and have attracted considerable attention because of their ferroelectricity down to a thickness of a few nanometers, their compatibility with silicon fabrication processes, and the availability of deposition methods that realize three-dimensional structures. This is the first webinar jointly held by MRS and JSAP, and leading researchers from both societies will give talks on ferroelectric thin films from the viewpoints of application to electronics, exploration of new materials, and reliability. Inspired by the invited presentations featured in this event, we hope that webinar participants from both JSAP and MRS will engage in lively discussions.
