Emotional Intelligence Workshop Series: Social Awareness

Date: January 11, 2023

Time: 12:00PM - 01:00PM

You must be registered to participate!

Overview

Self-management skills are essential for emotional regulation—needed for adaptability, reliability, stress management, and productivity.

Outcomes

In this session, we will explore how to move from self-awareness to self-management, and how you can improve your own self-management starting with just a few minutes a day.

This series focuses on the development of social-emotional competencies that are essential for success in graduate education and future career performance.  Decades of research show that emotional intelligence (EI) competencies demonstrate strong relationships to important academic and workplace outcomes. Research also shows that EI competencies are not dependent on race, gender, or culture of origin, and that anyone can improve their EI with learning and coaching. These workshops will provide an overview of EI, with a focus on the four fundamental clusters of EI: Self-Awareness, Self-Management, Social Awareness, and Relationship Management. Participants will gain EI skills to help them be resilient and successful in graduate school and beyond.
