Paul Braun

Paul Braun is the Grainger Distinguished Chair in Engineering, Professor of Materials Science and Engineering, Professor of Chemistry, and Director of the Materials Research Laboratory at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He received his B.S. degree from Cornell University, and his Ph.D. from the University of Illinois. Following a postdoctoral appointment at Bell Laboratories, he joined the faculty of the University of Illinois. He has co-authored a book, about 300 peer-reviewed publications, been awarded multiple patents, co-founded three companies and is a Fellow of the Materials Research Society.
