Professor Marc in het Panhuis’s career path includes international experience in academic and industry appointments in the Republic of Ireland, United Kingdom and U.S.A., and since 2006 at the University of Wollongong in Australia. He is Associate Dean (International) for the Faculty of Science, Medicine and Health, and Associate Editor for the Journal of Materials Chemistry B. His main research focus is to combine bio and synthetic polymers with carbon nanostructures, and/or conducting polymers via processing techniques such as additive fabrication (3D printing) into soft (wet and tough) materials for water treatment, soft robotics, bionics and tissue engineering applications.
