Leo Stevens a PhD candidate at the UOW node of the Australian Centre for Excellence in Electromaterials Science, supervised by Prof. Gordon Wallace, Assoc. Prof. Marc in het Panhuis and Dr Kerry Gilmore. As part of a team funded by Prof. Wallace's ARC Australian Laureate Fellowship, he is assisting in the design of new materials and additive manufacturing techniques that enable the construction of nerve guides which aim to accelerate recovery times for patients with damage in their peripheral nervous system.
