Dr Hernández-Garrido is a “Ramón y Cajal†senior researcher in the Department of Materials Science, Engineering Metallurgy and Inorganic Chemistry at the University of Cadiz, Spain. His scientific interests are in the field of material chemistry, with attention to the design and development of multi-functional ceria-based-oxide nanosystems for their advanced applications in energy related material science and environmental heterogeneous catalysis, with special emphasis in the characterization of these nanostructured materials by advanced electron microscopy techniques.
