2006 to 2009 - B.Sc in Physics at the University of Porto, (Portugal). 2009 to 2011  M.Sc in Theoretical Physics at the University of Porto and Perimiter Institute's Perimeter Scholars International (PSI) program (Waterloo, Canada) 2011 to 2015 (expected) - PhD in Condensed Matter Theory at the Autonomous Unversity of Madrid (Spain) under supervision of Francisco Guinea (Instituto de Ciencia de Materiales de Madrid, Spain) and N.M.R. Peres (University of Minho, Portugal). My research focuses on problems of transport in layered heterostructures, anharmonic effects in lattice vibrations of crystalline membranes and fluorescence in the presence of inhomogeneous, dissipative media.
