Jan Ilavsky

Argonne National Laboratory

Jan Ilavsky main professional activities are in the area of applications of small-angle scattering in materials science, chemistry, physics, and other fields. As instrument scientist of the ultra-small-angle X-ray scattering (USAXS) instrument at the Advanced Photon Source (usaxs.xray.aps.anl.gov), he is supporting the instrument operations and development - as well as user experiments and science. He is author or co-author of more than 160 publications in peer reviewed journals and conference proceedings as well as author of software packagesNIKA &IRENAfor SAXS/SANS datareduction and analysis. Jan is interested in extending the applications of the USAXS and SAXS into the real-world materials science with real, measurable, impact on technology.
