Deborah Chung

With Ph.D. in Materials Science from MIT and B.S. from Caltech, Chung is Professor in SUNY/Buffalo. Her publications include 540 journal papers and 8 books (Web-of-Science h-factor=52). She is the inventor of smart concrete and is an international leader in multifunctional structural materials, EMI shielding materials and thermal interface materials. She is Fellow of ASM International and American Carbon Society. Her honors include Pettinos Award from American Carbon Society, Top Reviewer Award from Carbon journal, Niagara Mohawk Chair Professorship and Chancellor's Award for Excellence in Scholarship from SUNY, Honorary Doctorate from U. Alicante, Spain, and Hardy Gold Medal from American Institute of Mining, Metallurgical, and Petroleum Engineers.
