Enrique Quiroga-Gonzalez

Institute for Physics, BUAP

Enrique made his masters studies on microelectronics at the National Institute for Astrophysics, Optics and Electronics (INAOE) in Mexico, characterizing Si/SiO2 superlattices. During his doctorate at the Institute for Inorganic Chemistry of the University of Kiel in Germany, he sintesized new photoactive materials based on Silicon-Rich Oxides and metallic sulfurs. From 2010 to 2013 he worked as staff scientist at the Institute for Materials Science of the same university for the development of new Si-based anodes for Li ion batteries. His main project was AlkaSuSi (Alkali metal, Sulfur and Silicon) aiming a 400 Wh/kg battery. From January 2014 he is a full Professor at the Institute for Physics of the University of Puebla (BUAP) in Mexico. There, he is leading activities on energetic materials.
