McGill University

Dmitrii Perepichka was born in Ukraine. He received PhD in chemistry in 1999 from the Institute of National Academy of Science of Ukraine, which was followed by post-doctoral training at Durham University with Martin Bryce and at UCLA with Fred Wudl. After his first independent appointment at INRS-EMT (2003), he moved as an Assistant Professor to McGill University in 2005, where he was tenured in 2010 and promoted to Full Professor in 2014. The main focus of his research is novel organic electronic materials. The important contributions from his group include: asymmetric functionalization of carbon nanotubes, high charge mobility luminescent organic semiconductors, complementary hydrogen bonding to control multicomponent semiconductors, molecular networks in nanopatterning of functional surfaces, and two-dimensional conjugated polymers.
