Deep Jariwala

Northwestern Univ

Deep Jariwala is currently working as a graduate student under supervision of Prof. Mark Hersam and Prof. Tobin Marks in Department of Materials Science and Engineering, Northwestern University. He received his BTech in Metallurgical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology-Banaras Hindu University (IIT-BHU) in 2010 where he worked on high temperature synthesis, doping, and shaping of carbon nanomaterials; namely carbon nanotubes and graphene. His current research interests include fabrication and characterization of novel electronic devices based on one and two dimensional nanomaterials. Deep has made important contributions in the area of atomically thin heterojunction devices and their applications resulting in several graduate level awards including the AVS Russell and Sigurd Varian Award, Weertman Fellowship and the SPIE Optics and Photonics Graduate Fellowship.
