Yue Zhang

Yue Zhang received the B.S. degree in physics from Wuhan University, Wuhan, China, in 1982, and Ph.D degree in Materials Physics from University of Science and Technology Beijing, Beijing, China, in 1993. He then worked as a Postdoctoral and Associate Professor from 1993 to 1995, Wuhan University of Technology; as a Professor in Material Physics, University of Science and Technology Beijing from 1995. He worked as a cooperative Researcher at the University of New South Wales, Australia in 2000; as a visiting Researcher at Tohoku University and the University of Tokyo, Japan in 2001; as a visiting Professor at Georgia Institute of Technology, USA in 2002. His research interests have been in the fields of nanomaterial and nanodevices, with emphases on nanodevices based on ZnO one dimensional nanostructures for optical, electrical, and mechanical applications. He has received one first class award and 6 second class award from the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Government. He has published 4 book, 4 book chapters, and more than 240 journal papers.
