Alberto Casadei was born in 1987. He pursued his Bachelor in Physics at UniversitA di Bologna (Italy) in 2009. In 2011 he obtained a Master degree in Physics of Materials at UniversitA di Bologna (Italy) and he carried on one year project, regarding transport in organic semiconductor, at Stanford University (California). In November 2011 he joined the Laboratory of Semiconductor Materials of Prof. A. Fontcuberta i Morral at EPFL (Switzerland) where he is actually doing his PhD on electrical properties of nanowires with the aim to develop photodetectors, solar energy harvesting and light emission nanodevices.
