Muratahan Aykol

Muratahan Aykol is a Research Scientist in the Accelerated Materials Design and Discovery program at Toyota Research Institute (TRI). Prior to TRI, he was the Materials Informatics and Infrastructure Postdoctoral Fellow at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory in the Materials Project team. Dr. Aykol received his Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Northwestern University, where he worked on high-throughput computational discovery of battery materials. He has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed publications and is broadly interested in using artificial-intelligence for materials discovery, and addressing complex issues from synthesizability to degradation.
