Carla Gomes

Carla Gomes is a Professor of Computer Science and the director of the Institute for Computational Sustainability at Cornell University. She received her PhD degree in computer science from The University of Edinburgh, UK.  Her research interests include artificial intelligence and machine learning with a focus on scientific discovery and computational sustainability.  She is a Fellow of the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI), a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), and a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
