John P. Domann

John Domann is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Mechanics at Virginia Tech. He received a B.S., and M.S degrees from the University of Kansas in Mechanical and Bioengineering, and a Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles. John was previously a Fellow with the Institute for Advancing Medical Innovation working on smart orthopedic biomaterials and implants. His recent research has looked at magnetoelectric / multiferroic control to transmit information, and the response of magnetoelastic materials to impact and shockwave loading.
