Michael Foerster

Michael Foerster studied Physics and received the PhD at the Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz, Germany, working on Heavy Fermion Superconductors. After Post-Doc stages in Magnetism and Magnetic Materials, he joined the ALBA Synchrotron in 2012 as Beamline Scientist on the Photoemission Electron Microscope endstation where he enjoys the life of an experimental scientist. Imaging surface acoustic waves reminds him of his glorious younger days as surfer. Today his free time is devoted to family or climbing mountains on his bicycle.
