Wei Zhang

Wei Zhang is a professor of materials science and engineering at Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, China, where he is supported by the university’s Young Talent Support Plan and the Youth Thousand Talents Program of China. He received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in physics from Zhejiang University, Hangzhou China, and a PhD degree from RWTH Aachen University, Aachen, Germany. His current research interests include phase-change memory materials, first-principles materials design, and materials behavior at the nanoscale. The awards he has received include IFAM young scientist award and K.C. Wong education foundation lecturer award.
