Stephen Logan

Stephen Logan is a senior project manager at AET Integration, Inc., leading AET’s efforts in joining of sheet magnesium as part of the United States Automotive Materials Partnership’s (USAMP) Low Cost Magnesium Sheet project. Before retiring from FCA/Chrysler with over 30 years of automotive engineering experience in 2018, he was responsible for Advanced Lightweight Materials Programs in FCA’s Advanced Development Engineering Group. At FCA, Mr. Logan led a group of engineers, designers, and suppliers to develop the world’s first ultra-lightweight magnesium die-cast intensive vehicle and actively participated in several large USAMP collaborative projects where he was a co-PI (Principal Investigator) in the Magnesium (later Multi-Material) Front End Research and Development program and PI for the Low Cost Magnesium Sheet project. 

He additionally led FCA’s participation in a number of individual industry collaborative research projects as well as FCA individual projects. He received his BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and his MS degree in Automotive Systems Engineering from the University of Michigan, and is a licensed professional engineer in the state of Michigan.
