Daniel Ruscitto has been at GE Research since 2013. He is a scientist in the materials characterization organization specializing in quantitative electron microscopy. Dan is proficient in a variety of other techniques including mass spectrometry, infrared spectroscopy, and image analysis. Prior to joining GE, Dan was the laboratory manager of analytical facilities for the Dept. of Earth Sciences at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Dan earned his doctorate in geoscience from the University of Oregon and his Masters from the University of Minnesota. He is an alum of nearby Union College in Schenectady, NY.
From 2013 to 2015, Dan was the President-Elect and President of the Capital District Microscopy and Microanalysis Society. Currently, Dan is an Editor for the Microscopy & Microanalysis Journal and is Committee Chair of Social Media for the Microanalysis Society (MAS).
