James H. Pikul

James is an Assistant Professor of Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics at the University of Pennsylvania. He received a B.S., M.S, and Ph.D. in Mechanical Science and Engineering at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interests combine soft matter physics, advanced manufacturing, and electrochemistry to enable next-generation energy storage technologies and multifunctional materials. James has received the Office of Naval Research Young Investigator Award, Materials Research Society Gold Award, and he is a 2019 Scialog Fellow for Advanced Energy Storage.
