Yugang Sun

Dr. Yugang Sun is currently an associate professor of chemistry at Temple University. He received his B.S and Ph.D. degree from University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) in 1996 and 2001, respectively. In 2006-2015, Dr. Sun was a research scientist at the Center for Nanoscale Materials of Argonne National Laboratory. He received the Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers (PECASE) in 2007 and DOE’s Office of Science Early Career Scientist and Engineering Award in 2008. He is one of the highly cited materials scientists and chemists. His research focuses on the design/synthesis of functional nanomaterials, the development of in-situ synchrotron x-ray techniques, and catalysis.
