Michael Mrejen

Michael Mrejen is a Research research scientist in the Femto-Nano Lab in the condensed matter physics department, School of Physics and Astronomy, Tel Aviv University. He obtained his Ph.D in applied science and technology(AS&T) under the supervision of Professor Xiang Zhang at University of California, Berkeley (2015), and his M.Sc. in applied physics at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem (2007). He holds a B.S. in optical engineering (2003) from the Technion- Israel Institute of Technology. His research focuses on exploring ultrafast light-matter interactions in plasmonic nanostructures, silicon photonics, and 2D materials, as well as applying machine learning to nanophotonics. He has published 16 peer-reviewed articles and holds 4 four patents.
