Megan Malara
2020-2021 MRS/TMS Congressional Fellow, Office of Senator Sherrod Brown
Megan Malara is the current 2020-2021 MRS/TMS Congressional Science and Engineering Fellow. She is working in Senator Sherrod Brown’s (D-OH) office on health and education policy, with a focus on increasing access for underserved and marginalized communities. Megan completed her PhD in Materials Science and Engineering at Ohio State University. With a background in biomaterials, tissue engineering, and regenerative medicine, her research focus was on developing cultured autologous skin grafts for patients with large total body surface area burns.
