Shimon Kolkowitz

Shimon Kolkowitz is an assistant professor of physics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. He received his BS degree in physics from Stanford University and his PhD degree in physics from Harvard University. He was a National Research Council postdoctoral fellow at the US National Institute of Standards and Technology/University of Colorado, Boulder, where he worked on ultra-precise optical atomic clocks. He is a Packard Fellow for Science and Engineering. His current research focuses on developing novel and precise sensors to study fundamental physics and to develop new quantum technologies.
