Alex Demkov

Alex Demkov is a professor of physics at the University of Texas at Austin. He received his PhD in theoretical condensed matter physics from Arizona State University in 1995. He joined the University of Texas in 2005 after working in Motorola’s R&D organization, where he investigated materials-related problems of electronic devices and contributed to the understanding of high dielectric constant materials. His research focuses on transitional metal oxides integrated with semiconductors. He does both theory and oxide molecular beam epitaxy (MBE).
