Claudia Felser

Claudia Felser studied chemistry and physics at the University of Cologne and completed her doctorate in physical chemistry. She joined the University of Mainz in 1996 as an assistant professor, becoming a full professor in 2003. Currently, she is a director at the Max Planck Institute of Chemical Physics of Solids in Dresden. Felser was awarded the APS McGroddy Prize for New Materials and is an international member of the United States National Academy of Engineering and National Academy of Sciences.
