Shan Hu

Dr. Shan Hu is the Associate Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Iowa State University. She receives her PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities in 2014 and Bachelor’s degree in Instrumentation and Controls Technology from Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 2007. Her research interests include nanomaterials, nanomanufacturing, acoustics and vibration, electrochemistry, and their applications in energy storage and energy conversion. She receives the CAREER award from National Science Foundation and the William and Virginia Binger Professorship from ISU.
