M. Saif Islam

Saif Islam received a B.Sc. degree from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, an M.S. degree from Bilkent University, and a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from UCLA in 2001. He worked for JDS Uniphase and HP Labs before joining UC Davis in 2004, where he is a professor of electrical and computer engineering and Director of CITRIS, UC Davis. He has authored 270 scientific publications, organized 35 conferences, and holds 42 patents. He is a fellow of AAAS, Optica, SPIE, IEEE and NAI.
