Kevin S. Jones

Kevin S. Jones is a distinguished professor and holds the Fredrick N. Rhines Chair in the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Florida. His research is centered on semiconductor processing and characterization, specifically in the area of emphasis on nanostructures and contact formation. He co-developed the “Impact of Materials on Society” class, which has been subsequently adopted by many universities around the world. The class received the 2018 North America Award for Outstanding Contributions to Materials Education and the 2020 Michael Ashby Outstanding Materials Educator Award from ASEE.
