Pacific Northwest National lab

Arun Devaraj is a senior research scientist in the Material Sciences group at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory. He received his PhD degree from the University of North Texas in 2011. His research interests include understanding the mechanisms of non-equilibrium behavior and metastable phase transformations in alloys. He is recognized for contributions to expanding the application of atom probe tomography (APT) for analyzing interfaces in metals and alloys as well as battery materials, catalysts, and biomaterials. Additionally, he is recognized for directly correlating APT with transmission electron microscopy, x-ray-based material characterization methods, and simulations.
