Laura Fabris

Dr. Laura Fabris earned both her B.S./M.S. and Doctorate Degrees in Chemistry from the University of Padova (Italy). She was then a postdoc in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California Santa Barbara. In 2009 she joined the Department of Materials Science and Engineering at Rutgers University as Assistant Professor, where she was promoted to Associate Professor with tenure in 2016. Prof. Fabris is currently a Professor in the Department of Applied Science at Technology at Politecnico di Torino (Italy). Her research aims at rationally designing plasmonic nanomaterials, employing both experimental and computational approaches, to address biologically- and medically-relevant questions and, most recently, to design efficient nanostructured photocatalysts.
